| Outline of Research at the Start |
地球温暖化緩和に向けた市民の行動変容を促す取り組みとして，環境省及び各地方自治体
では，市民に向けた様々な温暖化に関する情報を提供してきている。しかし，これらの情報
は画一的なものになってきており，市民に新たな気づきや行動変容に向けた動機をもたらす
ものとなっていない。一方メディアに露出するようなオピニオンリーダー的存在は社会的アイコンとして訴求力も高く，そこで発せられる情報は，従来そのような情報に接しなかった市民にまで届いている。これらの背景を踏まえ，本研究では市民への訴求力の高い社会的アイコンと環境情報の組み合わせを明らかにすることを目的に研究を実施する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we focused on the decline in appeal of conventional environmental information and the change in environmental information demanded by citizens. Through surveys, we clarified the gaps between the information and media provided by local governments and the contents and media of environmental information that citizens are seeking. In addition to environmental information, we investigated what kind of related information citizens want to obtain, and what kind of changes in consciousness and impressions they have when they are actually provided with the information not only “environmental” but others. We clarified the question using “reduction of meat consumption” as an example.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
市民の環境配慮型への行動変容に向けた情報提供の取り組みは、従来から多くなされてきている。しかし、例えば行動自体にも「肉消費の削減」といったような新たなオプションが提示され、また情報の提供媒体にもSNSなど新たな媒体が使われるようになる中で、従来型の情報提供の内容や手法は、市民が求めるものと乖離してきていると考えられた。本研究ではそのようなギャップを学術的に明らかにすると共に、実際に社会実験を行い、新たな情報提供の効果を検討したところに、学術的、社会的意義がある。
