Outline of Research at the Start |

Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A new measuring device for the test was designed with a threading on the inner surface of the measuring device to allow micro-CT imaging without releasing the load by rotating the load part and applying stress. In addition, the applied load was recorded by a load cell. The results of the measurements using the new test device showed that the ceramic-prepared zirconia prosthetic device had reached fracture with no deformation or other significant changes in the superstructure. On the other hand, in the case of the composite resin-applied zirconia prosthetic device for indirect restorations, the mechanism leading to fracture was observed to differ depending on the material used, such as the development of cracks in the prosthetic material before fracture and deformation of the prosthetic material due to stress.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
