Outline of Research at the Start

顧みられない熱帯病のひとつであるシャーガス病は、主に中南米で蔓延する寄生虫症であるが、日本においても4500人ほどの感染者がいると考えられている。本研究では、患者や医療従事者、行政関係者などからデータを収集し、日本におけるシャーガス病の診断・治療へのアクセスに影響を及ぼしている要因および関連アクターを明らかにするとともに、アクセス改善のための提言をまとめる。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

シャーガス病感染者を含む研究対象者へのインタビューおよびインタビューデータの暫定的な分析を終了した。次年度中に最終レポートの執筆を行う。また、研究活動から得た知見をもとに、シャーガス病治療アクセスの改善に向け、すでに関係者への働きかけやウェブサイトの作成（掲載先と交渉中）、患者団体のサポートなどを始めた。次年度中にすべての研究活動を終える予定である。

COVID-19の流行によりインタビューに遅れが生じたが、研究期間を延長することで対応した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

執筆を進めるとともに、シャーガス病治療アクセスを改善するための戦略の策定、関係者への働きかけなどを強めていく。
