Outline of Research at the Start |

Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Phonological knowledge plays a pivotal role in most aspects of language processing, but relatively less work has been devoted to understanding cognitive mechanisms of it. In the present study, we examined how phonological codes are related to written production in kanji, and how its process is related to brain function. We found that phonological codes contribute to written production in kanji script at mora level.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
