Outline of Research at the Start	超新星残骸と星間物質の相互作用の理解は、宇宙線加速機構や高エネルギー放射の起源、さらには銀河の物質循環・進化を追究するうえで本質的である。本研究では、X線で明るい超新星残骸を研究対象として、米国ハーバード・スミソニアン天体物理学研究センターの研究者と共同で「新たなX線分光法」を開拓する。具体的には、星間物質の空間分布や物理状態に着目し、それに準じたX線スペクトル抽出やモデリングを行う。これにより、超新星残骸における種々の物理過程の理解にブレイクスルーをもたらすことを狙う。
