Research Abstract |
Dynamics of recalcitrant dissolved organic matter in Lake Kasumigaura was quantitatively evaluated from 2001 to 2007 through model calculation. River inflow, sediment release, sewage treatment plant effluent, direct rainfall, internal production in water column accounted for 68%, 12%, 2.9%, 0.7% and 18%, respectively. The contribution of sediment release and internal production was substantially increased in 2007 when algal bloom occurred.
