Research Abstract

In the developing neocortex in mice, neural progenitor cells give rise to neurons. In the present study, I identified a novel regulatory mechanism contributing to neuronal differentiation of neural progenitor cells. Also, I identified a molecule with neuroprotective role and neuronal overexpression of the molecule in ALS mice alleviated motor neuron degeneration and delayed onset of the disease.
