Research Abstract |
Comparative studies have been conducted on the MSS and printed books produced in England c. 1300-1600 using digital bibliographical methods, focusing especially on paratextual elements(illustrations, mise-en-page, etc). The research has clarified the interplay of texts and paratexts in these books. A systematic bibliographical survey on some of the early printed books has also been done while an improvement has been made on such digital tools as XML digital edition and automatic image recognition system.
