Research Abstract |
In-plane orientation ofthe crystal grains in pentacenefield-effect transistors hasbeen successfully controlled by the graphoepitaxy effect. Approximately half of the grains oriented in aspecific direction.The frequency where the grain boundaryformeda largecarrier-transport barrier becameapproximately 40%. Basic study for producing anovel-typeTHz wave sensor using small band-edgefluctuation in crystal grainshas been simultaneouslycarried out. Spectroscopic and computationalevaluation/analysis techniqueswere established. THz-wave absorption spectraby the weakly restricted careersin the band-edge fluctuation were obtained for the first time.
