Research Abstract

Structured alkoxides consisting of organic functional groups as pendant groups or main chain have been proposed for the control of amorphous silica networks. We proposed Normalized Knudsen-based Permeance(NKP) to evaluate pore sizes less than 1 nm. Bis(triethoxysilyｌ) ethane(BTESE)-derived silica membranes were found to show high permeability and selectivity to gas separation(H2/ organic gases), dehydration of organic solutions, and reverse osmosis
