Research Abstract |
Abiotic stress-related genes were isolated and characterized from the plant growing under extreme environment, such as Puccinellia tenuiflora, Chloris virgata, mangrove plant(Bruguiera gymnorhiza), Sprobolus virginicus and Jatropha curcas. Transgenic Arabidopsis and/or rice plants expressing those genes obtained improved tolerance to abiotic stresses.
