| Research Abstract |
In this research, the following results were obtained.
1) The antibodies against viral ENV or CCR5 were induced in the vagina and mucosal surface.
2) The cross-reacting antigen for maintaining the titer level of antibodies against ENV or CCR5 was found.
3) To develop nonhuman primate models for vaginal HIV-1 infection in Japan, it resulted in the conclusion that the nonhuman primate model was inoculated with the mixture of 10000 TCID_<50>/ml of free SIV(1 ml), SIV-infected cells, and semen because cynomolgus monkey shows similar estrous cycle like women.
