Research Abstract |
The mechanisms of developing hormone refractory prostate cancer(CRPC) remains unclear. We have provided the evidence that aPKCλ/ιexpression correlates with prostate cancer recurrence. Experiments in vitro and in vivo revealed aPKCλ/ιto be involved in prostate cancer cell growth through secretion of IL-6.And we further demonstrated a correlation between biochemical recurrence after prostatectomy and the expression of these two factors. These results support our hypothesis that aPKCλ/ιplay an important role in prostate cancer progression.
