Research Abstract |
Nursing Competency consists of ‘the ability to understand people’, ‘practicepeople-centered nursing’ and ‘ensure quality nursing’. Thus, nursing competencies required for new nurses are: interpersonal communication, self-management, personal and professional development, basic clinical knowledge for self-learning, nursing assessment and care delivery , professional and ethical nursing practice, and implementation of nursing workload. Nursing colleges or universities should educate nursing students’ self-regulated learning ability along with fostering these competencies and send graduates into thegeneral community prepared to implement quality nursing practice.
