Research Abstract |
In this research, we proposed an aerial handwriting interface using 3-dimensinal acceleration sensors and developed a method for recognizing characters written in the air. In order to utilize the system in real environments, handwriting recognition tests were carried out in various situations, such as writer independent model, writing surface-free and pen holding style-free. Also, we investigated stroke-order search method and character shape evaluation method for handwriting-based character learning system.
