Research Abstract |
Analytical Bibliography, which was born and developed from the second half of 19th century to the first half of 20th century, not only tells the origins of books but also elucidates the history of printing in the latter half of 15th century Europe. As the learning developed in this new field, research and practice separated gradually. However, some bibliographers applied the results of study of analytical bibliography to their library organizations and collection buildings. This study examines the practices and their meaning of the application of Analytical Bibliography to the library systems as a case where theory and practice grow together.
