Research Abstract |
This study focuses upon the bilingual emergency messages that use Japanese Sign Language (JSL), and Japanese. From the results of message reading experiments, we clarify certain issues : reading characteristics of bilingual messages of deaf people, and basic idea in generating the JSL/Japanese bilingual messages useful for the intended readers.
