| Research Abstract |
In this study we looked at Japanese mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures during 2000 to 2009 calculating cumulative abnormal returns. We found various facts comparing mean CARs between categories based on firm performance, characteristics, and so on. Especially we investigated the relationship the board structure M & A decisions and performances.
