Research Abstract |
This study examined young children's teaching by observational study and experimental study. First, we observed that 5-year-olds, but not 4-year-olds, used indirect strategy to prompt others to acquire the skills by themselves. Second, with adult's instruction, children of 5 years of age may begin teaching strategies for other's improvement, and inhibitory control ability appears to play a vital role in this teaching method.
