Research Abstract

This study examines the personal background and long term effects of reform school admission on a mixed delinquent and special needs student population. It examines the record of reform school directors' meetings and there deliberation on student placement according to the Reform School Law and rerated medical and psychological records. Ti also examines both the scientific and educational ideas of psychiatrist Sennen Ikeda director od Tsutiyama Gakuen reform school and his practical application of them. Lastly, it summarizes educational and other based on various reform schools record.

• [Remarks] 座談会「感化教育史研究の到達点と今の課題」での報告。2011年3月2日(東京都千代田区私学会館アルカディア)大乗淑徳学園長谷川仏教文化研究所より招聘され、感化教育史研究における最新の研究動向、資料調査や資料保存の現状、今後の研究課題などについて、山崎の他、長沼友兄氏(元児童自立支援施設長)、二井仁美氏(大阪教育大学)、石原剛志氏(静岡大学)、藤原正範氏(鈴鹿医療科学大学)の5名で議論した。山崎は、「感化教育における障害児問題の顕在化と展開」について報告した。なお、本座談会での報告および議論については、長谷川仏教文化研究所編「<座談会>感化教育史研究の到達点と今後の課題」『淑徳大学長谷川仏教文化研究所年報』第36号、2011年9月として刊行された。
