Research Abstract |
Group 10 metal(II) complexes bearing a new tripodal tetradentate ligand, E[C_6H_4(2-YR)]_3 (1,_EYR> : E = P, Si^-; Y = O, S, Se, CH_2S (mS) ; R = i-Pr (Pr), t-Bu (Bu)), were synthesized, and their properties were systematically elucidated. In addition, we succeeded in the synthesis of dimethylpalladium complex, [PdMe_2(1_<PSPr>)], and cationic iridium complex having vacant coordination site, [IrH(1_<SimSBu>)]ClO_4. These complexes are expected to be highly reactive to small molecules such as N_2 and CO_2.
