Research Abstract |
Based on our concept of a novel chiral reaction system possessing multi-metal centers utilizing tartaric acid ester as a chiral auxiliary, a series of concerted asymmetric 1, 3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine imines and asymmetric nucleophilic addition of acetylides to nitrones followed by cyclization and rearrangement were developed to afford various types of optically active heterocycles.
