Research Abstract |
With the intention of exploring new diradical species which show dynamic interconversion between recombination and bond cleavage, possible precursor compounds were designed, prepared and characterized. Among those, a spiro-cyclohexadienone compound was found to undergo unusual photoinduced rearrangements via a diradical intermediate. Dynamic proton migration was found in some imino-enamine compounds and in precursor compound for galvinoxyl radicals.
