Research Abstract |
It is important to develop efficient numerical procedures for multi-physics problems by integrating individual simulators for single physics with high resolution. In this work, we introduce virtual physical space, which is a platform to integrate individual simulators and handle physical quantities defined on multiple simulators. In this project, we investigate theoretical foundation of the virtual physical space and develop a finite element procedure for overlapping meshes based on a domain decomposition approach.
