Research Abstract |
A new near-net-shape working method, applied to the diameter-enlargement processing method developed originally, has been proposed. A shaft's cross sections is partially enlarged and controlled by cyclic bending and axial compressive loading through a metal mold. The method achieves the outside dimension near an ideal shape during the only one process without a subsequent cutting work.
