Research Abstract |
The main objective of this study was to elucidate molecular mechanism and regulation of oxygen-labile iron-sulfur cluster biogenesis in higher plant chloroplasts which perform oxygen-evolving photosynthesis. We identified and characterized key components involved in these processes which include cpSufE protein, two monothiol-type glutaredoxins, and cpHcf101 protein.
