Research Abstract |
Cell movement plays an important role in many physiological processes, including wound healing, embryonic development, and morphogenesis. In this study, we observed that epithelial cells (Madin-Darby canine kidney cell) migrated collectively along one direction on a soft substrate. Cell-substrate adhesions, cell-cell mechanotransduction, and appearance of leader cells were studied.
