Research Abstract |
Sulfonylurea herbicide resistance did not link to germination feature of seeds in self-fertilized progenies of Schoenoplectus juncoides. However, population dynamics model explained why most of the sulfonylurea resistant accessions show higher seed germination rate than the susceptible accessions. In the isolation of genes relating seed germination or dormancy, VP1 gene was identified in S. juncoides, but the other genes were not identified.
