Research Abstract

T2S substrates are not only associated with virulence but also induce plant defense responses in the infection of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae. Expression analysis of rice genes revealed that induction of basal plant defense related genes such as PR and transcription factors, were suppressed by type III effectors.
