Research Abstract

Recombinant mouse SULT4A1 was expressed in E. coli. This SULT can catalyze the sulfation of 7-hydroxy group of bile acids. The site specific mutagenesis experiments show the Leu99 and His48 are important amino acid residues for substrate recognition and enzyme catalysis.
