Research Abstract |
This study examined methods, especially regression methods, used to estimate the spatial distribution of growth in forest areas where hardwoods dominated. Generalized non-linear regression proved to be useful for developing equations to represent individual tree biomass. The stand biomass could be estimated accurately using a stand volume . biomass model developed using generalized non-linear regression. Geographically weighted regression proved to be useful for predicting the spatial distribution of stand volume.
