Research Abstract

Immunological memory is essential for providing protection against recurrent infection. However, it is still unknown the molecular mechanism underlying the development and maintenance of memory T cells. Here, we found that the mice bearing Notch signaling-deficient T cells did not show the protective immune response against secondary Leishmania major infection, indicating that Notch signaling is critical for memory T cell survival after antigen stimulation.
