Activation of heat shock response with Mild Electrical stimulation with hyperThermia(MET) improves metabolic profiles and insulin resistance in type2diabetic mice and humans. In this study, we identified several target genes such as AMPK, Sirt1 or PG-1α, which are involved in the effect of MET in insulin sensitive tissues.
