Research Abstract |
To see whether nicotinic acid exerts its anti-hyperlipidemic effect through SIRT1 activation, expression of possible target genes of SIRT1, ABCA1 and CYP7A, in nicotinic acid administrated rat liver was examined. No change of the genes with marked increase in NAD has been observed so far.
