We developed a novel flow cytometric method that successfully dissected mouse bone marrow cells undergoing granulopoiesis and found that C/EBPβis involved in the efficient amplification of early granulocyte precursors by regulating proliferation during candidemia-induced' emergency' granulopoiesis.
