Research Abstract |
A large amount of platelets were generated from subcutaneous adipose tissues and preadipocytes in a highly-reproducible culture system using established culture media to differentiate of hematopoietic stem cells into platelets. Platelet functions were examined in peripheral platelets and cultured platelets. As compared with hematopoietic stem cell-derived platelets and platelets after 6-7hrs of blood drawing, adipose tissue-derived platelets showed higher functions in platelet activation and thrombus formation.
