Research Abstract |
Based on the gene expression of stage II colorectal cancer, we aimed to build a predictive model for recurrence after surgery. Using 80 samples as a training set, we examined gene expression by microarray and RT-PCR. We finally selected 8 genes whose expression differed significantly between patients who developed recurrence and who did not. We used these 8 genes for predictive model. The accuracy rate of prediction was 63% among 24 samples as a test set.
