Research Abstract

Focusing on overproduced proteoglycans as major components of extracellular matrix in the cardiac allograft vasculopathy after heart transplantation, vascular maturation process has been examined in newborn rabbits model to pursue possibility for proteoglycans modulation by administrating protamine sulfate to inhibit the effects of endogenous heparan sulfate proteoglycan.
