Research Abstract |
We have developed a new surgical support system for an apico-aortic conduit procedure in order to perform it without applying cardiopulmonary bypass. An apico-aortic conduit procedure is bypass surgery between the left ventricle apex and the descending aorta with a artificial graft and heart valve for patients with severe aortic valve stenosis usually by using cardiopulmonary bypass. We have developed a new apical conduit using stent graft technique and attached it without cardiopulmonary bypass.
