Research Abstract |
To understand molecular pathology of ocular surface or corneal diseases, contribution of inflammatory or regenerative signals were integrally analyzed. Application of network model-based approach utilizing transcriptome or proteome of diseased tissues or models revealed intricate interactions of innate and acquired immune system in disease processes. The insight on integral regulatory pathways or contributing factors was further utilized to understand age related ocular diseases. Present findings may become basis to develop novel or more efficacious therapeutic strategy
