Research Abstract |
To establish molecular targeted therapy for odontogenic cysts, a basic in vitro study was carried out. Fibroblasts originated from apical cyst and keratocystic odontogenic tumor were treated with various growth factor receptor kinase inhibitors, and the survival level of the cells was investigated. Since PD166866 and PD089828 induced effective fibroblast cell death, these receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors may be candidate drugs for molecular targeted, non-surgical therapy for odontogenic cysts.
