Research Abstract

Comparison examination was carried out about the expression of a jaw deformity group and a healthy group. In neutral facial expression, the jaw deformity group showed the expression of the worse impression than healthy group. It turned out that a fundamental emotional facial expression of jaw deformity group weaker than a healthy group.
Each emotional facial expression of a jaw deformity group becomes almost the same as a healthy group by the improvement of the jaw deformity by surgical orthognathic treatment.
