Research Abstract |
Qualitative and exploratory research was carried out in Brazil in 2009 and 2010, and in Peru and Argentina in 2010, with 187 Nikkei(Japanese descendent) former economic migrant families to Japan. My research identified these concerns : 1.Limited educational choices and resources in Japan ; 2.Difficulties after returning resulting from an assimilative education in Japan ; 3.The anti-migrant sentiment perceived in school-based bullying ; 4.The long-term negative impact on parent-child relationships.
