Research Abstract |
To develop printable magneto resistance device, novel organic donor radicals, having characteristic electronic structure, were designed and synthesized. Among them, 5 molecules showed giant negative magneto resistance in their neutral crystalline films. The magneto resistance in these systems are derived from intramolecular interaction between spins in unpaired electrons inπ-organic radical moieties and conduction electrons mediated by the stacking structure ofπ-donor moieties.
