Research Abstract |
We have studied drug delivery system involving metastasis for cancer therapy. Collagen gels containing drug-conjugated dendrimer exhibited the selective drug action against highly metastatic breast tumor cells. In this study, drug-conjugated poly(glutamic acid) enhanced the selectivity in metastasis, and modification of collagen peptide was influenced on the drug action. Collagen peptide-modified dendrimer with anticancer drugs via hydrazone bond showed the antitumor growth activity. Therefore, this kind of material is useful for a novel type of drug delivery system.
