Research Abstract |
In most previous research, scholars have considered the development of thought in the Prajnaparamita sutras by comparing various translations of the scriptures. In theis study, I look at the doctrinal development of the Prajnaparamita sutras more comprehensively, by comparing the Astasahasrika Prajnaparamita sutras and the Pancavimsatisahasrika Prajnaparamita sutras and their commentaries. As a result, I comtribute to a clarification of the complex development of interpretations of the Prajnaparamita sutras.
