Research Abstract |
In Japan, some argue for the need for further regulation on discrimination against those who work on a part-time or fixed-term basis, or who works through agency, modeled on EU regulations. In the EU, however, too, non-discrimination principle is applied only when such workers find comparable workers who engage in equal work. Also, it is questionable whether the working conditions of such workers can be improved by facilitating labor-management negotiations only.
