Research Abstract |
n this study IinterpretedsociologistGeorgSimmelasapoliticaltheoristofconflict. I showed that Simmel’s theory of everlasting struggle between “life” (politics) and“form”(administration) is more adequate to contemporary politics than Weber’s Modelof bureaucracy and charismatic leadership. Referring to his conflict theory, I published papers and books on party politics, participation of strangers, a theory of “comparison”, and Carl Shimitt’s PoliticalRomanticism.
