Research Abstract |
Based on an endogenous fertility model determined by household's optimization, I examined a social security system in an aging society with fewer children. As a result, I can obtain result as follows. A pension system decreases the fertility. A long term care insurance decreases the welfare of future generations. Even if a child allowance is financed by consumption tax, a child allowance can raise the fertility.
