Research Abstract |
We showed that the excitation energy transfer between adjacent nanotubes in bundles of single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs) occurs in the femtosecond regime. Interband exciton relaxation in~ 40 fs was shown in semiconducting SWNTs. In semiconducting SWNTs at high excitation densities, exciton relaxation due to the bimolecular Auger recombination was shown, and exciton size was estimated.
